Blogging License

August 25th, 2010

In a journalist’s or a writer’s view, writing has been long defined as the passion to live and the drive of inspiration these people take from day to day; writing about anything under the sun is like a task never requiring anything in return but to afford to have those readers and viewers we’ve always wanted, receiving feed backs from them is just but a plus as always. Since the birth of the online community and innovations, journalism has also paved its way right that very instance the world wide web has to grow, having this been said, writers of diversity has all considered this a very good start.
Blogging was the term brought up to describe journalism activities on the web, it was definitely open to all, at first only as a hobby, only as a medium for self expression yet human beings has also been said to be wise… they slowly turned words into dollars. Blogging was made commercialized and now, we see the aftermath of this resulting to some authorities requiring a logical license for the money earned in blogging. Although this was a locally inspired news set in New York, it is but still relevant to expect this potential law to be applied in any city we may want to start this “blogging business”.

Battery Life: iPhone 4

August 25th, 2010

Imagine that you are stranded in a two acre island, and that it only supports 2 kinds of plant vegetation, one is the coconut tree and the other is a Dune Marsh-elder shrub. The objective is to get out of the island before the tide comes in. In your pocket are three plastic cards, a pack of gum, and a bottle of Valium(Don’t ask me how it got there), what would you do? Sure, you can do the McGyver stuff and think your way out of it but don’t get ahead of me here because there is a twist. The twist is you find a phone washed ashore after a day of playing Tom Hanks, it’s too much to expect that the phone would be encased in a water proof plastic but hey that is not so impossible. I might be one of the passengers that didn’t return to “the Island” and that phone might have been mine. so the Question is, “What brand of phone would you wish for that phone to be?

Personally, I would choose an Apple iPhone. Let’s say, the latest which is the iPhone 4 or the iPhone 3GS. Everybody knows that the battery life of every phone really varies from usage. But it sure is comforting to know that Apple’s  lithium-ion battery standby time is up to 300 hours. That is compared to taking it easy for more than a week. Just think of all the soul searching hours that you can invest for the future. You may also chat up your would be rescuers because talk time is up to 10 hours on 2G, 6 hours on 3G. The choice is also open if you want to enjoy audio playback for up to 40 hours or up to 10 hours of video playback.Hey, if all comes to worse and it doesn’t work out you have all the time to use the stuff you had in your pocket or make a bonfire of the phone, it would give off black smoke and you can alert civilization Bear Grills’ style.
